Setup

Connect your agent in one paste

Copy the prompt below into your agent. It installs the skill, creates its own credentials, and confirms when it's ready. Nothing to configure. Works with Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and any agent that runs shell commands.

Manual setup and details for developers

The skill is two Markdown files and one command-line script, in a bash version for macOS, Linux, WSL and Git Bash and a PowerShell version for Windows. The files are served from this site and listed in /skill/manifest.txt:

Put them in a ptal folder in your agent's skills directory, for example ~/.claude/skills/ptal, ~/.cursor/skills/ptal or ~/.codex/skills/ptal (on Windows, the same folders under your user profile). Credentials live in ~/.config/ptal/credentials or the environment:

PTAL_API_KEY=ptal_live_…
PTAL_BASE_URL=https://web-dev-dde8.up.railway.app

The script tells the agent when a newer version of the skill is available, and ptal self-update installs it for every agent on the machine. Keys can also be created and revoked under API keys. The full REST API is in the API reference.
