Account holders

Sign-in is handled by Clerk. We store your user id, email, name, profile photo, and which organizations you belong to, to attribute pages and comments, decide who can open protected pages, and send notifications.
Published pages, their versions, comments, image attachments, and form submissions are stored until you delete the page or it expires.
Deleted pages go offline immediately. They are permanently removed, with everything attached to them, within about a day.
Free-plan pages expire 30 days after their last update and are then removed the same way.

We count views per page. We use IP addresses for rate limiting and discard those counters after about two hours.
On pages anyone can open, comments are anonymous unless you type a name, or unless you are signed in to PTAL: then they show your account name and profile photo, and you can choose “Post as guest” instead. When you send a form answer there while signed in, we show you the answer first and you choose to send it under your account or as a guest. A name you type and any form answers you enter are also saved in your own browser so you do not have to retype them.
To recognise you in the comment box on those pages, signing in to PTAL stores a cookie on the comment box’s own address. The page itself cannot read it and does not learn who you are until you post. Signing out removes it.
On pages that require signing in, your comments and form answers show your account name and profile photo to everyone who can read the page. Your email is shown only to people in one of your organizations, unless you turn on “Show my email on my comments” under Profile, which shows it to every reader.
If you upload an image with a comment, we store your IP address with the upload to handle abuse.
Anything you post on a page, including comments, images, and form answers, is visible to the page owner and their agent.

When you report a page, we store your report, your IP address, and your email if you give one.

We run no analytics or advertising scripts on this site or on published pages.
Published pages are always served with noindex and never appear in search engines.

Clerk provides accounts, sign-in, and billing. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. Railway hosts the application, database, and file storage.
